WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man is recovering Sunday morning after getting injured while hiking in Waianae, according to Honolulu police officials.
Officials say the call came in around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The man was hiking on the Mount Kaala Trail with three other people aged from 20s to 40s.
HFD says crews ascended the trail and eventually found the injured man.
He was assessed and then airlifted off the trail and taken to EMS.
The other three hikers were also airlifted back but had no reported injuries.
No word on the hiker’s condition or what caused him to get injured is still unknown.
